The project was to create a site/cd-rom that would teach genetics to non-specialists in a pharmaceutical company. The design needed to look fun and dynamic not dry or intimidating. This was a big project with challenging content and required strong visual navigation to prevent the user getting lost and therefore losing interest. The final layout used the most common chromosome symbols as key design elements. I had a lot of fun (remember fun) creating all kinds of interesting designs using these normally uninteresting shapes.
