Designing this logo meant creating an image that would complement the new interior look of the restaurant. In addition to changing the menu to include more Spanish dishes the interior design of the restaurant included lots of terra cotta, warm oranges and reds for an over all Spanish feel. I combined a couple of colours used in the decor, drew a stylized "Miro-esque" place setting and played with an appropriate type style to tie everything together.
